Dave Williams

Dave Williams joined KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO as Host of the Southern California's Morning News in January 2004. Prior to that he was a news anchor at Los Angeles sister station, KFWB. He made his Los Angeles debut at KABC as a morning talk show host in 2000.

Williams and co-anchor Vicky Moore won the 2006 Mark Twain award from the Associated Press Television - Radio Association  of California and Nevada (APTRA) for "Best Anchor Team."  In January 2005, they won the Golden Mike award for "Best News Broadcast Over 15 Minutes" and were also named as a finalist by the AP in a similar category. In 2005, it was the LA Press Club's turn to recognize Southern California's Morning News as tops for 2004.

Dave is a native of Sacramento, where he is something of a local radio legend. He began his radio career in Northern California in 1969 as a top-40 disc jockey. He moved into the newsroom in 1975 as a writer/reporter and eventually became the host of Sacramento's most-listened-to radio show, the KFBK Morning News, where he collected awards for news anchoring excellence and remained the top-rated radio personality in the Capitol City for twenty straight years.

Dave is also a playwright with several national awards. His plays have been produced across the U.S., as well as in Canada and Europe.

Dave and his wife, Carolann, live in the San Gabriel Valley with their two dogs, three cats and assorted birds and fish. Their two sons grew up and escaped.
