KNX 1070 Launches "Money 101 Online" Webisode Series
KNX NEWSRADIO launched its second exclusive series of video "webisodes" on www.KNX1070.com , detailing key consumer issues in a series called Money101 Online. The webcasting project , hosted by Bob McCormick, anchor of the stations's fastest growing program, Money 101 (weekdays, 9 a.m. - 12 noon), deduted featuring a report on identity theft, and later addresses topics travel, wills, divorce and debt consolidation.

KNX 1070's Morning News Honored as Best Newscast
(June 26, 2006) KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO's Morning News was Honored as Best Newscast for the second consecutive year and the stationwon a total of three Southern California Journalism Awards by the Los Angeles Press Club at its 48th Annual awards dinner. KNX was also honored for Best Breaking News Coverage - "Metro Link Crash" and Best Documentary - "40 Years From Vietnam."
Julie Chin Named KNX 1070 News Director
(May 24, 2006) Julie Chin is expected to join KNX 1070 NEWSRAIO on June 26. She has served as assistant news director for KGO-AM in San Francisco since 2001 and in various capacities at the news/talk station since 1994. Ronnie Bradford, who remains at KNX as assistant news director, has served as interim news director since ED Pyle retired in January.

KNX Wins Five Golden Mikes
(Jan. 22, 2006) – KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO has won five Golden Mike Awards, presented for excellence in broadcast journalism by The Radio Television News Association of Southern California (RTNA) at the 56th annual awards dinner held Saturday evening inUniversal City. RTNA is a non-profit organization of professional broadcast journalists dedicated to promoting excellence in local broadcast journalism.
Money 101 to Expand to Three Hours
(Jan. 6, 2006) – Money 101, KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO's popular consumer call-in news program hosted by Bob McCormick, will expand from one to three hours beginning Jan. 9 and air Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until noon.   Frank Mottek has also been named to replace McCormick as host of the KNX Business Hour, which will continue to air weekdays from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
KNX NAMES 2005 MEN & WOMAN OF THE YEAR AWARD WINNERS
(Jan. 3, 2006) – KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO will honor the members of Los Lobos and actress Mariska Hargitay as the station's 2005 Men and Woman of the Year in a special luncheon ceremony at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport on Jan. 13, 2006 at noon. Oprah Winfrey has been selected to receive a special Katrina Angel award for her personal response to victims of Hurricane Katrina.
